Labor Humor: Late Arrival
For thirty years Johnson had arrived at work at 9:00 a.m. on the dot, never once being late.  One day 9:00 came and went and 2014.03.03—humor-injured-manJohnson didn’t show.  The boss himself noticed, and came out to the shop floor muttering.  Finally, at 10:00 a.m., Johnson shows up, his clothes dusty and torn, his face scratched and bruised, his glasses bent.  Limping, he clocked in and told those who had gathered round that he had tripped and rolled down two flights of stairs in the subway.  To which the boss said, “And rolling down two flights of stairs took you a whole hour?!”
