Labor Humor: Quick Thinking
At a labor management meeting the subject was sick leave abuse. Management claimed it was a real problem and the union said management was exaggerating. Management pulled out a newspaper article about the union vice president coming in third in a bowling tournament on a day when he called in sick and said, “What do you have to say about this?”
The union president studied the article for a minute and then looked up and said, “I think if he wasn’t sick he would have won.”
